Residential Project: Colour palette creation, sourcing, furniture upcycling and styling
The Brief: The clients wanted to add some colour to the room without repainting the whole room. They were keen to update the space without replacing the key items of furniture and had a keen interest in biophilic and environmentally conscious design. Making the room look lighter and brighter was on the wish list.
The East facing windows and French doors to the back garden let in far more light without the curtains which were not needed for privacy. A colour palette was created and used so that elements of the room could be highlighted, such as the chimney breast and the large windows with views of the garden. These colours were repeated around the room with new accessories and by painting a radiator cover, lampshade, existing frames and the mantle piece mirror.
